Overall Essay Writing View

This year, after looking back on my writing skills, I have done good, but I know I can do  much better.  And I have been surprised by my blogging as well. Because most of the time my writing contains little or no effort. So I am glad I am at least trying and improving them. Even if people think my writing is good, that does not truly mean that I am actually excelling.

First of all, I need to do more with my writing by using correct grammar. I know I am a grammar Nazi with words and writing, but when I don't use correct english (which in most case what is correct english?) Yet anyways thats something I sometimes don't proof read and miss making my writing look like a third graders writing. Embarassing at times though. Also I want to make sure my writing is also on time. Because this is a common thing  I tend to do and its really annoying when I miss a certain date for my work. That really kills my grade and my score for the class, sadly making my day really bad and my school work harder.  Because everything piles on all the other homework assginments and projects.

But surpisingly I did like some of my writing because I actually tried to do what I was told to do and I did a good job at it. The rest wasn't really so great but it worked out better than most of my other blog posts.  Sometimes my work had more detail or more words to captivate the reader, yet sometimes it just sounds really good to read.  But I kind of can see in the way things are written like my posts about the LGBS statement, that I needed more words and more posts. Yet the most surpirsing factor in my writing is is the comparasion from my middle school years. I remember the teachers format so well I still use it to this day! Which before I barely knew  how to wrap up a conclusion, but I m getting better about that part. And my writing style seems more smoother and relaxed compared to past years.

By far, I've doing well this year. and I can see the progression, but I  can also see my pit falls which seem kind of like lazy stupid mistakes that I made. And I don't want to be harsh over all but my writing compared to alot of people needs to step up ALOT. So this year I need to shape up, and get moving, and start writing more. I see the progress but I see holes where ever I don't try.  This is a chance for me to see wwhat I can fix. More like an advantage then a put down if you really look at it. I mean i may not write lik shakespear, I may not have grammar as good as

mice of men THE END :D

                                                Lennie

In the Novella, Of Mice And men which was written by John Steinbeck, Lennies childish mind. Out run by the  tempting idea of tending rabbits. He can’t control himself and gets in trouble too often. George who is his friend and care taker, becomes driven mad by Lennie’s stupiditiy to an ending that changes it all. Thus, you see that the whole story is character verses self because Lennie cannot control himself which leads to his tradgic end.
Lennie’s mental disability, makes kinda irrational things, but also makes him forget manys things as well. For example in this one quote on page 5:

‘Lennie’s face broke into a delightly smile” Why sure George, I remember that..but..what’d we do then? I remember some girls come by and you says...you say..”’

As you can see here in the quote above shows Lennie’s forgetfulness. Because he does not remember he can’t do the right things because he does not fully understand. Meaning and making it harder for him to  connect and do things that are reasonable. When he forgets, he screws up. Which in the end makes George really mad and pissed scaring poor Lennie even worse. This also leads to the conflict because Lennie forgets too much and that is one part of why George takes his life.
Also, Lennie’s mental problems effect his train of thought and ability to react. Like the fight he and  Curly had. As you can see on page 63 :

‘Lennie gave a cry of terror. Blood welled from his nose. “ George”, he cried. “Make ‘um let go George.” He backed until he was against the wall, and Curly followed. Slugging him in the face. Lennie’s hands remained at his sides; he was too frightened to defend himself’

He mentally cannot think to defend himself, but yet when he gets frightened when he pets a mouse or something soft and he gets mad he can kill it. So why can’t he fight Curly? That’s another thing the shows why this book is character verses self because of the fact that he has to fight against his own fears. But it takes George to provoke him to actually fight. Yet again in the end he does end up injuring Curly really badly becaLe he doesn’t know how strong he really is.
The last thing that shows why Lennie really as to fight against himself really is when he kills his puppy. Explained in the little segment in the chapter on page 85:

‘And Lennie said softly to the puppy,”Why did you got to get killed? You ain’t so little as mice. I didn’t bounce you hard?”’

This to me shows after how many times George tries to explain that he cannot keep killiing the animals on accident, Lennie does not listen. He tries to pet everything with his huge hands and kills mostly all the small animals because he doesn’t know his own strength. That by far makes George really annoyed. And the fact Lennie does not function right either makes him more stressed. And when he blows out on Lennie, It makes Lennie terrified.
Stress, fear, impatience, and selfishness is what makes this story character verses selfs.Lennie really had to try to fight to be a little more normal. But all of the chaos, his inability to think, led him to his end.  Either if he just was more catious, or not so narrow minded as he is. Lennie would of been better off on his own. Yet he doesn’t sadly make it that far.

What is love?

What is love? It's when two people meet each other and would give his or her life for that person and would never leave their side. You choose you them to be their love, to respect them in your successes and in  them failures, to care for them in sickness and in health, to nurture them, and to grow with  them throughout the seasons of life.  To understand boundaries and become one. That is love. But I'm going to comment on Karen's blog after this quote :

"Some people all they do is wish to find love and have someone to call theirs and have beside them and the truth is some people never meet anyone or they become heart broken. How many people end up in divorce, how many people cheat, didn't they love the person?"

I agree that people do wish they find  true love. But at our age, that currently isn't really that important. Unless the person and you really do love each other. But love can be misunderstood, and incorrect. But if you don't find that special someone, it does not mean that nobody wants you. It just means fate set you on your own for a reason. I also understand divorce, because it involves the love gradually fading away. But loves not supposed to is it? Who knows. I think I've had it happen once. But things happen, but you still can't let go of the person at times. I think love should not be a rushed thing to have. The truth is, you don't find love. You already have it, it just takes the right person to have you give it to them. Truth is sometimes love fades, and so does hate. But when you fall in love, you are making a commitment to the person. But sometimes people ask for more then one lover. Because they love the feeling of being loved so much, they have to go out and cheat. Yet why did you say you love that person? And you still go off with someone else. Karen's quote explains the absoulute, but you cannot fully answer it. I can only relate to this matter. Eventually you will find out what love is. But for now, most of us can only wonder. By the way, here's a great song that asks the question WHAT IS LOVE?
What Is Love by Never Shout Never
