A Called It :3

So the end is near..or here as you can put it. At this point in on reading A Child Called It by David Peltzer is the most traumatizing and haunting story I have ever read. This has changed my prospect on child abuse. David has endured literally hell on earth from his wicked mother, a cowardly father and a hench men of siblings.  And the people living in his neighborhood of Daily City who knew the situation and literally just did nothing. As I related in the book, it showed more and more of Davids will to live. The base problem was of his mothers BPD, alcoholism, and her postpartum syndrome probably from childbirth. You might be thinking oh wow childbirth really? Yes really postpartum is where the mother wants to hurt herself or in main cases her child. But under these conditions with her BPD and her un-functional mental state, you lead to her insanity and abuse on David. I don’t understand how when she had her baby the alcohol in her system and the crazy mental state she was in didn’t effect her in the hospital. Wouldn’t it of just been obvious for those who did blood screening to notice the amount of alcohol consumed? But we also know that from there, you notice from a short notice she is already home. Maybe the lack of medical attention caused more distress. But we also know that Davids mom became and alcoholic when she was 13 because her family was Mormons and she became a outcast and her parents locked her in the closet and starved her too. And as David explains in his Epilogue that abuse becomes a vicious cycle in which it is passed on. Yet this demented crazy mother lived to be almost 77! How is that possible! Well I’m pretty sure karma will get to her in her  next life. Overall from every beat, smack, burn, torture, starvation method, poisoning this kid has survived the worse. Just remeber to always be lucky for what you have, even to be alive.  Also abuse is very serious so don’t take it lightly. Overall I highly recommend this book to the world!

A Child Called It 2

Ok so now were at the second part of this gruesome book. Man does it take a lot of effort to read it without tears welling up or your heart pacing and flying. At this point in the book, his psychotic mother who's crazy ass hell had decided that it would be  great idea to shove her fingers down his poor throat too make him puke up all the food he ate so she prove to the dad he was stealing food at school. Well I hope that  stupid mother knows how insane she is for starving his child till he has no choice but to steal food to survive. David's brothers watch as him changes from a healthy  boy to a starving, smelly, and mentally traumatized mess. As time progresses his mother becomes pregnant again, and then she blames David for hitting her stomach when she was strangling and beating him. She actually asked for it because she held him so close to her when she was beating him. Sometimes he was beat so bad he couldn't even get up. Then a shocking turn gets taken when Russell, starts to swing and the most horrendous thing imaginable  happens. His mom steps forward and stabs him, and all goes black. Reluctantly he regains consciousness and he has to still sleep down stairs on the cot with a bloody open wound on his stomach covered in old rags with cold water. The even more shocking part was that his mom still made him come inside and wash the dishes in 10 minutes. Seriously? You just stabbed your son who's bleeding all over the floor and you tell him to clean the dishes!? And his dad tries to help and David steps up and pushes him away telling him to just leave him alone. At this point, he's had it. He hates everyone. And he means everyone. This poor child is so traumatized I don't think he trusts anyone. And the most remarkable thing that happens is that he survives "The Accident". I know he was in so much pain for a long time because no one gave him medical help. Later his mom starts to treat him nicely and a social worker comes and he lies saying his mom never beat him.  But after she leaves his mom goes back to herself and beats him ruthlessly. I swear this child had dealt with the devil. We have one more section to go on so dear readers.. HOLD ON .

Disability

Disability issues are common all over the world. People are born mentally & physically handicapped. Even if they can't walk or hold still it does not mean that they are not human. These people deserve all the rights everyone else. Because they have all the rights of normal people. I hate it when they mock or insult the people who are less fortunate. Not only is it rude but it is unkind & very intimidating for the people.  Why do they always get treated so messed up? Underneath it all were all human and reserve every right to be respected. Are people mad because they get more attention?  When people take buses or trains and their is  handicapped person. Well some people start to laugh or giggle. Others don't even look as if they don't exist. At my old school people used to mimic & insult the students in special E.D.  And these kids would laugh but they didn’t know why other people were finallly paying attention to them but because they were being taunted.Honestly to be truthful, everyone has a disability, your weak point and you just have to learn to respect others flaws. Their disability has an ability. And we need to respect them for what they go through. If we actually endured what they go through our society would be in a melt down. Why? Because their too weak to handle their pain from others. People who have disabilities are the strongest people I've ever seen. The don't take no for an answer, and they never stop trying. People like us can't even take being in a cast. How would you like to be in a wheel chair for the rest of your life? I mean we all dream to be on top, famous, or happy, but when we treat these people so rudely you don't how much we hurt them making them feel so much lower.  Next time think before you act. Don't insult the less fortunate cause that can be you tommarrow.

A Child Called it. part 1 review

MY GOD!!!! The story A Child Called It written by Dave Peltzer is a horrifying memoir he has endured during the ages of 4 through 12. Its probably the saddest story I’ve ever read in a very long time. Anyways this book has the most amazing story of a boys will to survive of an abusive mother who is a alcholic. But she wasn’t always this way.
Dave from the time he was born loved his mother and father. His dad was a fireman in the district of Daily City and his mom was a house wife.  They lived happily with his brother. Until his dad job became more demanding and he was out more. Sometimes his mother and father began to drink and his mom must of found comfort in alcohol. His struggle to live by a mentally screwed mother becomes a living nightmare.
At one point in the beginning of the book, he states remembering as the social worker finally takes him away from his nightmare and crazy mother, the sign on the highway

“ THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HIGHWAY IN THE WORLD”
But it’s a signification that since he's finally free from his abusive home, it’s the most beautiful highway for his free. Also in the book his mom dislocated his shoulder and she just left him to be and put him on the top bunk that night. During the middle of the night she tries to tell him he fell off the bunk bed and she took him to he hospital. Even the doctor knew that was no accident but didn’t say anything. Why didn’t the doctor say anything? So sad to see this..very sad.
All the ways to make things worse, she starts to call his mom a “wicked witch” on page 30. The dramatic change from mother to witch can surely show and prove Dave’s point of view on his mother. At one point his mom drags him in the kitchen and beats him and tell him to take his shirt off. Catherine (his mom) starts the gas burner on and tries to push him on the stove. He fights back long enough that when his brother comes home he only has a few blisters and singes. Either way his mother was probably upset he had won. Dave’s mother had BPD in which she singled out Dave for her own drunk foolish reasons.  His mother was an absolute nut job and had no sense of compassion for him. AT ALL. Making him sleep in the garage not to mention starving him to death. Dave Peltzer had the 3rd worst child abuse case in C.A. Now imagine how bad the first worse case was?
From the age of 5 his little mistakes drove his mother crazy. And she has no legitimate reason to punish him  as she states on time on page 38 that his is a bad boy and Santa has no gifts for him. What reason is this!? he definitely did not have common sense since all the alcohol drove it out. Dave only found comfort in his father when he came home for then his mother would not beat him. I don’t even know if I’m prepared for the next few years of his life.
